Raising concerns

Locala cannot guarantee the accuracy of this translation service.

Locala Community Partnerships is committed to safe patient care and to empowering every colleague to raise concerns knowing that they will not suffer as a consequence.

In addition to our own Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure we have signed up to the Nursing Times Speak out Safely campaign. This is our pledge:

Locala Speak Out Safely Pledge

Locala Supports the Nursing Times Speak Out Safely campaign. This means we want all our colleagues to feel able to raise concerns about wrongdoing or poor practice when they see it and confident that their concerns will be addressed in a constructive way.

We promise that where colleagues identify a genuine patient safety concern, we will support them, fully investigate and, if appropriate, act on their concern. We will also give them feedback about how we have responded to the issue they have raised, as soon as possible.

Whether you are a permanent, agency or temporary employee, or a volunteer, please speak up when you feel something is wrong. We want you to be able to Speak out Safely. Please click for more details on our pledge.

Concerned about a Locala colleague?

All individuals working within Locala Community Partnerships are expected to live by Locala's values and aspire to the highest standards of excellence and professionalism. All Locala colleagues and volunteers who work directly with patients are required to have a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check every 5 years.

All allegations of abuse or maltreatment of a child, young person or an adult at risk by any individual working within Locala will be taken seriously.

If you have any concerns that someone affiliated with Locala has behaved in a way which may have caused harm to a patient, possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a patient, or behaved towards a patient in a way which indicates that he/she may pose a risk, we would ask that you contact Locala's Customer Liaison Team on 0303 003 4529.

Locala has a "Safer Recruitment Policy" and takes all allegations about colleagues very seriously. There is a robust procedure for managing and recording any allegations against staff or volunteers, and all concerns raised will be treated appropriately and in confidence.
