Children's Occupational Therapy

Welcome to Children’s Occupational Therapy!

We are a team of qualified Occupational Therapists and clinical care assistants who provide therapy support to children and young people across the North Kirklees area. We are based at the Child Development Centre on the grounds of Dewsbury and District Hospital.

We provide a child-centred, family-orientated approach and will see children in a variety of settings most appropriate to them. We enable the child to reach their maximum developmental potential and gain independence in performing daily living activities.

Occupational therapy can help children grow, learn, have fun, socialise, and play so they can develop, and support them to reach their full potential.

Where to find us: 

We have staff based in the Children's Centre (often referred to as CDC/Child Development Centre) on the site of Dewsbury and District Hospital. For information about this location, and relevant parking information please click here.

The Children's Centre is next to the Children's Place Nursery, down a small road with parking, and opposite the Staincliffe Wing. You can park outside the building for your appointment and you will be provided with a permit on your arrival.
